About the JACoW Collaboration

JACoW is based on an international collaboration for the electronic publication of accelerator conference proceedings. Organization, membership conditions, and requirements are set out in the charter.

JACoW operates with an official team that does the bulk of the work and a board of directors that guides and manages the collaboration and reports to the stakeholders at the annual stakeholders meeting.

The following diagram shows the people who have an interest in JACOW--the stakeholders--and that they comprise all of the members of the collaboration and the users of JACoW. The collaboration is composed of representatives of member conferences, the team (see current roster), and the board of directors. The key actors are described in the subsequent sections.

JACoW's Goals

• Publish high-quality sets of proceedings with access through the custom interface.
• Provide long-term archival storage to ensure longevity and access to publication data.
• Train and educate authors and editors.
• Provide a repository of profiles.
• Provide support for conference organisers.
• Publish conference metadata for open archives.
• Maintain a set of user profiles for accelerator conferences.

Today, JACoW hosts the proceedings of 18 different conferences: BIW, COOL, CYCLOTRONS, DIPAC, ECRIS, FEL, HIAT, ICALEPCS, ICAP, ICFA Advanced Beam Dynamics Workshops, IPAC, LINAC, MEDSI, NA-PAC, PCaPAC, RuPAC, SAP and SRF.
